Fit

Who it suits

The High Speed model is for anyone who dries their hair most mornings and has stopped believing that a salon finish needs a salon appointment. It suits fine to medium hair best: that hair type needs airflow rather than high heat, and dries in roughly five minutes at 65 m/s. It also suits people who travel or share a bathroom, because 370 g and magnetic attachments let one dryer cover a dressing table, a gym bag and a suitcase without buying a second device. If your hair is thick, coarse or very curly, the Ionic model's diffuser and two nozzles give you more styling control — the High Speed model will still dry it, but you may want the extra attachment shapes.

Routine

How to use it

  1. Towel-dry until the hair stops dripping, roughly 70% dry. The dryer removes surface water fastest, so this step saves more time than any setting.
  2. Clip on the concentrator nozzle for a smooth blow-dry, or the diffuser for volume and curl definition. Both attach magnetically and rotate a full 360 degrees.
  3. Start on a low heat and speed combination and work up. The NTC sensor corrects airflow temperature 100 times a second, so you can work close to the root without scorching it.
  4. Work from the back of the head forward, section by section, keeping the nozzle pointing down the hair shaft so the cuticle lies flat.
  5. Let the body cool before storing, and clear the 0.2 mm rear filter monthly — a clogged intake is the most common cause of a dryer that feels weak.

Questions

High Speed Hair Dryer: common questions

Yes, and it is the model we would recommend for it. Fine hair needs airflow rather than high heat, and the 160,000 RPM brushless motor moves air at 65 m/s, so a shoulder-length head of fine hair dries in about five minutes. A NTC sensor reads the airflow temperature 100 times per second and trims power on drift, which matters most on hair that has little mass to absorb overshoot.

Eight heat and speed combinations, controlled from the handle and shown on an LED indicator. The point of the range is to let you dry at the lowest setting that still moves enough air, rather than reaching for maximum heat on every section.

The dryer, a magnetic diffuser for curls and volume, a magnetic concentrator nozzle for a smooth finish, and a gift-ready box. Both attachments lock on magnetically and rotate 360 degrees. The dryer draws 1,600 W from a 240 V supply with a UK three-pin plug and a 1.8 m cord.

Five years of cover on the brushless motor and the main body against manufacturing defects, starting from the purchase date. Register the order number and email on the Warranty page to activate it. Wear items such as the rear filter, and accidental damage such as a dropped dryer, are not covered.
