The Ionic model is for hair that holds water: thick, coarse, wavy or curly. That hair needs volume and a diffuser more than it needs raw airflow, and the 1,500 W AC motor with 29 m/s airflow is built to run for the twenty minutes a full wash-and-go takes. The two styling nozzles and the diffuser make it the more versatile of the two for styling, and the 1.9 m cord reaches across a bathroom where the High Speed model's 1.8 m might not. It is also the easier one to share with a household, because two speeds, three temperatures and a cool shot are quick to reset between people. If your hair is fine and dries in five minutes, the High Speed model will get you out of the door sooner.

How to use it
- Towel-dry until the hair stops dripping, roughly 70% dry, then comb through so sections fall cleanly.
- Fit the diffuser for curls and waves, or one of the two styling nozzles when you want a straighter finish.
- Choose one of the two speeds and three temperatures. Use the cool shot at the end of each section to set the shape while the cuticle closes.
- Keep the nozzle moving; holding it still on one spot concentrates heat even with constant-temperature control.
- Pull out the removable rear filter and rinse it monthly, and let the body cool before it goes back in a drawer.
